Why you should upgrade to iPhone 8 | 6 Reasons

I’ve been playing with the iPhone 8 for a week or two, and in that time I’ve only found a handful of reasons to actually upgrade beyond the iPhone 6s and 7. That’s not to say it’s a bad phone, but it’s not a particularly compelling upgrade. If the iPhone 8 falls flat for you and you’re still looking for a way to put a dent in your wallet, you’re better off waiting for the upcoming iPhone X instead. So let’s explore your options, and consider the alternatives. 1. Your iPhone Is Old When I say old, I mean “iPhone 6 old” — a three-year old device. If you’re coming from an A8 processor, slow Touch ID scanner, tinny speakers, no weather or dust proofing, and a paltry amount of storage, the iPhone 8 is a great buy. It’s a refined version of last year’s iPhone 7 and you’ll notice a huge leap in performance. An aging device is the number one reason for upgrading this time around. The iPhone 6s is still a serviceable phone, and it doesn’t lack any huge feat...

If you’ve  upgraded to iOS 11 , you’ve probably noticed that the App Store looks different. There are some new tabs, some of the tabs you’re used to are gone, and Apple has given the home page a much more editorial feel. It can be a bit confusing at first, especially if you’re not expecting it. But if you know where to look, you can take advantage of some great features in the new App Store. Let’s take a look! 1. The  Today  page, new in iOS 11, is a big departure from that style. Instead of throwing a bunch of apps at you, it highlights just a few and gives you more information on each. The  App of the Day  and  Game of the Day  highlight standout options. A daily list gives you a fun category of apps. Recent lists ...

Here is How Apple Made Face ID Really Cool

Apple has done away with Touch ID on its  latest flagship device — the iPhone X  and that too for good. The new Face ID that Apple has included on the new iPhone X is definitely a cut above the rest, but what makes it so unique let’s find out. Apple has left no stone unturned to make the Face ID technology the best and why shouldn’t it be, with the touch ID missing on the iPhone X this is a much-needed level of security for users. Real Depth Sensing Tech The Face ID technology makes use of an Infra red projector to project hundreds of invisible light markers on the users face. Using these markers the Infra red camera reads the depth and contours of the users face. Once the data is saved in the device every time the iPhone matches information from all the markers to make sure that it only unlocks the device for the right user. Truly Hands-free Unlike touch ID, face ID does not require any physical touch. This technology relies on infra red ...
